Posted: Jan 09 2017

WILLISTON, N.D. - As a thank you to all military members and veterans, Men's hockey will be hosting a "Shirts off our Back" promotional game Saturday, January 21, at 7 p.m. when they face Colorado University.

Military families may receive free admission by picking up tickets at Williams County Veterans Services (220 2nd Ave East ) or by showing a military ID at the game.

冰球突破豪华版游戏下载's Hockey players will be wearing a military appreciation jersey designed especially for this event. Each jersey will be auctioned off during the game.

"All proceeds will go to the Military Affairs Committee to help fund the Global War on Terrorism Monument," explained John Bowkus, 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载 Head Hockey Coach. "We as a team wanted to extend a sincere thank you to all current military members and veterans. Hosting this event and raising funds are just two ways that we can give back."

To thank them for their support of the military, the first 500 people to attend the game at the Raymond Family Community Center will receive a free sponsored puck courtesy of Patriot Productions, a veteran-owned business. Veteran-owned businesses that contact Men's Head Hockey Coach, John Bowkus at 701.774.4288 may showcase products and services free of charge at the game.

Veterans have been at the center of 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载's community outreach this year. 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载 held a Veterans Symposium December 7. Both Men and Women's Basketball's home openers were designated as Military Appreciation Night. 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载's Re-InVet Yourself program encourages veterans to return to school.
